Root5 International, Shenkar!

Does this Art and Design School look cool or what? There is something really special about the Israeli attitude to architecture... At some point we saw gold coloured lamp posts on the highway and tried to imagine a local council in the UK sitting around the table and deciding that gold, not a half dead burgundy or a wishy washy green, no a perfectly chic matt gold would be the most suitable colour to accessorise the street view with. It does help that there are palm trees everywhere but there is something of a new world optimism, possibly called naivety back in the UK, that creates the strong sense of line and colour in the bold architecture of Tel Aviv. It's Root5 International these days, something tells me the next post will be coming from Munich!
